  www.LOVEFiLM.com
LOVEFiLM is a great place to get your DVD rentals from.

You simply give them a list of the films you want to see (by selecting from their seemingly endless list*) and when you have watched one, they send you the next one on your list.

All for as little as £4.99 per month!

Click on the link above to get a month's free trial - nothing to lose - at a minimum you will get to see a few films for free this month!

  www.radiotimes.com
Were you a TV-Times or Radio-Times user? This is the online version of this old-favourite.

It is a useful site, with the ability to tailor the channel listing, along with links to some media-rich content.

  dictionary.reference.com
Just a quickie this week - never have to reach for that big dictionary again - all defintions a click away.

  Craig Ferguson
This guy is just funny - click on the links under the dates on the left-had side to view his nightly monologue.

  en.wikipedia.org
Another site that demonstates Web 2.0 very well is Wikipedia. This site is a good source to start your research of a subject, but BEWARE. The content is truly Web 2.0, so is editable by anyone - therefore the content may not be accurate - always use another source to verify the information you find out from Wikipeida.

  www.youtube.com
Have you heard of Web 2.0? This term refers to the development of user-generated content on the web, and highlights the advent of technologies that enable everyone to be able to contribute.

The youtube site is high-profile this week because of its aquisition by Google.

It is a fun site, with lots of good contributions from many different types of people. (There are also lots of poor contibutions by many different types of people - have fun filtering out the stuff that is good for you!).

  www.bbc.co.uk
You have probably been to this site, but just in case there are a few people who haven't; the BBC provide one of the best media-rich internet experiences around.

We find the main site a little staid, but if you use the grey bar a the top to click through to T.V. or Radio, you will be able to access some great content.

BBC2 has a Watch Now service to see programs and exclusive online clips before they hit your T.V. screen.

Their news site provides constantly updated news. (This site is a great way to check if your internet connection is live - look at the "Last updated" date and time; if it is very recent you have a live connection, and your browser isn't just presenting cached pages from your hard-drive!)
